Audi TT carries into the 2010 model year

Though the TT carries into the 2010 model year mostly unchanged, the 3.2 models have been discontinued. The 2010 TT is available in two trims, the base 2.0 and TTS. Shoppers can opt for either coupe or convertible body styles. Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system is standard.

Another feature that differentiates the TT from its competitors is the standard all wheel drive system. This system, called the "quattro" system by Audi, is held over from the last model. Audi has been perfecting the system since the early 1980's, and the system helps the car have superior grip and road-holding capabilities. All of this power is delivered through a 6 speed "Tiptronic" transmission. This transmission was first employed by Porsche in its vehicles, and allows the driver to switch between manual or automatic modes when driving.

2011 Volvo C30 a "Top Safety Pick"

The 2011 Volvo C30 has not been crash tested by the federal government. However, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the 2011 C30 a "Top Safety Pick" for earning top scores in all of its crash tests. A number of safety features are available for the C30, including a Blind Spot Information System

To be fair, the Mazda driver wasn't trying too hard to lose me in the little Volvo C30, but that doesn't discount the amount of fun supplied by the little white hatchback. New for 2011, the C30 features an updated visage, but beneath its hood beats the same 227-horsepower turbocharged 5-cylinder engine that's powered the U.S. market C30 since 2007. Volvo's done a good job of tuning out turbo lag, as the T5 engine's 236 pound-feet of torque comes on as early as 1,500rpm. Though the Volvo doesn't blow you away with its power--an enthusiast's car it is not--it does feel confident during freeway passing maneuvers and, as indicated above, back-road blasts.
