Based on 2011 the Audi A3 hatch

As we informed you last week, Audi revealed today the all-new A3 Cabriolet which will go on sale in Europe in February 2008. Although we’re still waiting for an official confirmation from our man that’s attending the media presentation in Hungary as we speak, word is that the A3 Cabriolet will not be sold in the USA or Japan. But we’ll get back to you on this one later in the day.

Based on the A3 hatch, the soft top Cabriolet can seat four passengers and according to Audi, the backrests of the rear seats can turn down, increasing luggage space from 260 to 674 liters. The soft-top, available in semi-automatic and fully automatic versions, can be opened hydraulically in just nine seconds. The A3 Cabriolet will be offered with two petrol units, the 160 HP 1.8 TSI and the 200 HP 2.0 TSI and two diesel units, the 105 HP 1.9 TDI and the 140 HP 2.0 TDI.
