The model being talked about in this article is essentially a much more capable version and high performance model. There’s a lot to like about the new GT3 RS including the fact that it is fitted with the largest engine ever to be mounted on a factory-approved 911; a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six unit that develops 500 horsepower at 8,250 rpm, 50 horses more than the standard GT3 RS. It is also the most powerful 911 naturally aspirated engine with 125 horsepower per liter. All New Porsche Boxster S 3.2 Tiptronic
Of course, since we are talking about Porsche -the maker of the 911 that has kept the same shape for decades- don't expect to see something totally new. What other carmakers would call a facelift will be dubbed by Porsche as an all-new design. However, what you should expect to see is a totally revamped interior blending styling elements from both the next-generation 911 (998) due in 2011 and the new Panamera.
And what about under the skin? As with the current Boxster, its replacement will share many parts with the 911 while Porsche's engineers will definitely try to further reduce the car's weight. Interestingly, it is said that Porsche may also utilize the new aerodynamic systems like the front air intake mechanisms that it's preparing for the new 998.

2011 Sportcars Porsche Boxster E prototypes

In a German-language only press release and without much fanfare, Porsche announced the introduction of a trio of electric-powered Boxster E prototypes. Over the next few months, these pure-electric test vehicles will be trialed in and around the city of Stuttgart to provide feedback on the feasibility and usability of the concept in everyday use.
Porsche is keeping mum on most of the details surrounding the three prototype Boxster roadsters simply stating that the cars are equipped with two-electric motors that deliver up to 180kW or 241-horsepower, and are fed through a 29-kWh battery package.

Detail Review The Porsche Cayman S Sport
The first official image of the forthcoming Porsche Cayman S Sport has been leaked into the net. Details are scarce for now but it is said that the Cayman S Sport will get an extra 8Hp raising total output to 303 Hp along with the Porsche Active Stability Management system and a 10mm lower suspension.
In terms of styling, it is evident that the new Porsche Cayman S Sport’s orange / black theme was inspired from the 911 GT3 RS (check out the picture below). From what we gather it won’t be long before Porsche reveals all the official details on the Cayman S Sport model, so stay tuned.

The Porsche Cayman Boxster

The Porsche Cayman Boxster
The Caymen is bit of a mix match of the 911 and the Boxster there is nothing really new that isn't on the Boxster or on the 911 however the structure of the Cayman is almost two and half times stiffer than the Boxster and well that is only due to the fact it is a Boxster that has a tin roof. So because of the stiffness of the Caymen this makes setting up the suspension to a much more sportier setting and this is just something that adds to the driving experience it makes you feel a little bit closer to the road the car seems a lot more focused and it is a pleasure to drive!

The Porsche Cayman Boxster

The Porsche Cayman Boxster
The BMW Z3 did not actually catch on in Europe, so the Z4 was designed as a more sporty automobile than the Z3, and with its 3-liter engine which develops 265 bhp, is a good match in performance for the Porsche Boxster. Meanwhile, Porsche made a decision to fill out its range with an additional model, to be priced between the Boxster and the 911. In reality, the Cayman is based on the Boxster, but has more sporty suspension, and has a larger engine. Now, though you can get a Cayman with a 2.7 liter engine as well as the 3.4 litre job. The Boxster gets 2.7 and 3.2 liters.
Because Porsche makes flat-six engines, it can easily produce engines of different capacities from 2.7 to 3.8 liters, and many parts are shared by all of them.

But what about BMW? Well, BMW wished to build autos in the United States, and did not want to build the same autos it built in Germany as that would increase costs. So it decided to build a racer for the US market, although it would be marketed elsewhere.
At that time there was more potential volume for a boulevard cruiser sort of two-seater than an out-and-out sports car in the United States, so the BMW Z3 was born. It was a rather tall car for a sports auto, and though a hardtop was offered, it looked peculiar, making the car look even taller than it was.

The Cayman has a 3.4 litre engine which has the cylinders of a 911 and the crank of a Boxster. The 911 has either a 3.6 litre engine or a 3.8 litre engine where as the Boxster only has a much smaller 3.2 litre. The funny thing I have found with modern day Porsche's is that even though they got rid of the air cooled engines they have still managed to get the same sound of the massive fans you use to hear sort of like a breathy whine which is just a fantastic noise.

Like the 959, it was produced and made available to the public for homologation purposes so that it could be raced by Porsche at Le Mans. The 911 GT1 was produced from 1996-1999. Kubatech Porsche-Carrera

Kubatech Porsche-Carrera
Porsche's first two supercars were produced to satisfy FIA homologation standards. This required that 200 road legal cars had to be made and sold to the public in order for the car to qualify for racing in FIA sanctioned races. The first car was the 959 which was introduced in 1986. Looking like a heavily modified 964, the 959 however was so much more. It sported a 2.8L twin-sequential-turbocharged flat-six engine that put out 444 HP. This was put to the ground with an innovative 4-wheel drive system. A first for Porsche, which worked so well, a similar system was later adapted for use on the 993 turbo, and has been a staple of Porsche's 911 turbo models ever since. In its day, the 959 was actually the fastest production car in the world, with a top speed of 200 mph and a 0-62 time of 3.7 sec. Impressive even today. The 959 continued in production through 1989.

The 993 Carrera 4 and the 993 Carrera 2 depicted the original models of Porsche 911 993 generation. Porsche wiped off the "2" from the tag name "Carrera" which was a rear-wheel drive while the all-wheel drive version is known as Carrera 4. Although both the models were of greatest extent of equality, but the latest version was embedded with a red rear indicator and also clear front that was previously colored in orange for Carrera. The M64/05(06) was the engine used in the previous version of Porsche 993 that creates 330 Nm at 5000rpm and 272bhp at 6100rpm. While the next release known as Carrera 4 used M64/21(22) engine with bigger valves capable of producing 340Nm at 5250 rpm and 285bhp at 6500rpm. Even the performance level of Carrera 4 M64/21(22) engine is high as it can execute the typical sprint from 0 to 100km/h at 5.3 seconds with a top speed rising high to 275 km/hr while Carrera recorded a top speed of 270km/h and 5.3 seconds for its standard sprint.
